China's SLG to supply equipment for Acme's hydrogen project in Oman
Shuangliang Hydrogen, part of Chinese conglomerate Shuangliang Group (SLG), will supply green electricity hydrogen production systems for Indian Acme's large-scale green hydrogen and ammonia production project in Oman."After many rounds of in-depth exchanges and field visits in the previous period, the two sides officially signed the order agreement of the green electric hydrogen production system for the Oman green hydrogen green ammonia project", SLG said in a social media post.Under the deal, SLG will deliver multiple sets of green electricity hydrogen production systems for the project in 2025. More details about the order were not disclosed.In 2022, Shuangliang launched its first unit 1000NM3/h alkaline water electrolysis (AWE) stack and BOP system, followed by the launch of a 10-MW electrolyser in 2023.Acme plans to build the green hydrogen and ammonia production hub in the Duqm Special Economic Zone, central Oman. The project, unveiled in 2022, will include 300 MW of electrolysers for green hydrogen production, powered by 500 MW of solar.In March 2024, Acme signed a firm and binding deal with Yara International ASA to supply 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia per year to the Norwegian fertiliser producer from the first phase of the project.
