DG Okonjo-Iweala meets Ethiopia’s PM, Steering Committee to accelerate WTO accession
WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala met on 16 February with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and the country’s Steering Committee on WTO Accession on the margins of the African Union (AU) Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The meetings reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to accelerating its accession process, with a view to concluding negotiations by the 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14) in March 2026.
