Verdagy to supply 320 MW of electrolysers for Petron Scientech

Verdagy has been selected to provide more than 320 MW of its electrolysers for Petron Scientech’s first biorefinery project in the US which will produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), renewable diesel and e-methanol.Under a strategic partnership agreement, Verdagy will deliver its eDynamic alkaline water electrolysers for integration into the biorefinery to produce over 45 kilotonnes of green hydrogen per year. The systems will be manufactured at Verdagy’s newly-opened 1-GW plant in the Silicon Valley. The deal announced on Wednesday builds on an existing partnership as the two companies are collaborating on several biorefinery projects to produce SAF, e-methanol and bio-chemicals and polymers.Petron is developing several sustainability-focused biorefineries and is engaged with various airlines for offtake of SAF made using its ethanol and bio-ethylene technologies.
