A new era for Bioenergy International

The Swedish Bioenergy Association (Svebio) is delighted to announce that it has reached an agreement for the transition of Bioenergy International magazine to former employees. Taking effect on July 1, 2025, the agreement means that the publication and website will continue to operate under Wodinna Network for Women in Bioenergy AB (Wodinna), a company owned by long time Bioenergy International profile, Dorota Natucka-Persson.

A new era for Bioenergy International

–Having worked with Bioenergy International since 2003, I am thrilled that we have reached this agreement together with my two Bioenergy International colleagues, says Dorota Natucka-Persson, CEO of Wodinna.

Svebio took over Bioenergy International in June 2011 as part of its then strategy to strengthen its international position. During 2024, the Svebio board decided on a new strategic direction for the organization.

Being implemented during 2025, the new strategy places increased emphasis on proactive national and European public affairs to ensure that bioenergy is not overlooked by politicians and decision-makers as a climate and preparedness solution.

To aggregate organizational resources for this new strategy, Svebio has, amongst other things, decided to go entirely digital with its Swedish journal, Tidningen Bioenergi, and end its engagement with Bioenergy International.

Svebio is delighted to have reached this agreement with the Bioenergy International team enabling the continuation of the magazine and platform which we know is very appreciated by many. It is an amicable win-win for both parties, and opens opportunities for continued future collaboration, says Anna Törner, CEO of Svebio.
