Honoring Hispanic Heritage: SEI’s Solar Program Creating Brighter Futures for Hispanic Communities

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we at Solar Energy International (SEI) are celebrating the impact of our Hispanic Program. This initiative has successfully trained and certified over 20,000 Spanish speakers in quality solar energy education.

Through our program, we are not only preparing highly qualified professionals for the solar industry but also creating pathways to better-paying jobs, helping our students access more equitable and competitive employment opportunities. Our students gain valuable skills to become independent contractors, if they so choose, in the rapidly growing solar sector.

With the impact of our program extending beyond the United States, graduates bring their knowledge back to home communities in Latin America and other regions. This not only improves the quality of life in these communities by facilitating access to clean and sustainable energy, but it also contributes to economic development by promoting energy equity.

Through the Hispanic Program, SEI not only trains professionals but also shapes change agents who bring solar energy to those who need it most, positively impacting the well-being and future of many more Hispanics in the U.S. and around the world.
