Members share experiences on going beyond tariff codes to implement environmental measures

The Committee on Market Access held on 4 March the second thematic session on “greening” the Harmonized System (HS), the traded product classification system, and how it connects to WTO work. The session included presentations by the Dominican Republic, the European Union, Jamaica and the United Kingdom, who discussed their different approaches in integrating environmental policies into their tariff classification systems and other border measures.
