Sunds Fibertech acquires Advanced Cyclone Systems
Sweden-headed global technology provider to the panelboard industry, Sunds Fibertech AB, has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Advanced Cyclone Systems (ACS), a renowned Portuguese cyclone specialist company with several patents for emission and particle separation.
Headquartered in Portugal with a subsidiary in Brazil, Advanced Cyclone Systems (ACS) is dedicated to the development and commercialization of high-efficiency cyclone systems worldwide.
Founded by Romualdo Salcedo and Pedro Ribas Araújo in Portugal in 2008, with the support of the CoHitec program, followed by a transformational investment from Armilar Venture Partners, ACS has proven the value of its novel high-efficiency cyclones across a wide range of industries — from pharmaceuticals and chemicals to food and energy, from emission control in boilers, furnaces, and dryers, to the recovery of valuable powders in the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
With this acquisition, the value of which has not been disclosed, Sunds Fibertech will enhance its presence in Europe and South America and expand its “Environmental Systems” business segment, aligning with Sunds Fibertech’s “Boost your plant” mission and addressing the increasing demand for emission control solutions.
The acquisition will formally take effect on May 27, 2025.
The combined organization will leverage shared knowledge, best practices, and innovations across all markets, contributing to the development of a stronger product portfolio and service offering.

ACS will retain its identity, team, and leadership, and continue to operate as a dedicated business unit within Sunds Fibertech.
