RWE opens applications for a year in industry programme

RWE, the UK’s leading electricity generator, has opened applications for a year in industry programme, with the Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm one of the projects applicants could find themselves working on.
The Environmental Consents Internship is suitable for students studying environmental science, environmental management, environmental biology, renewable energy, geography, marine biology, oceanography, marine sciences or a similar subject.
Isobel Emery, RWE Consents Manager for Awel y Môr, previously undertook a Year in Industry while studying Environmental Social Science at the University of Kent.
Isobel said: “The year in industry programme is a fantastic way to develop your skills and understanding with real-life application, as well as providing that demonstrable experience that employers will be looking for. It was an invaluable experience that I would highly recommend students apply for.”
More information, including contact details if you have questions, are available here.
Applications are open until 28 October, with the 13-month programme set to begin in July 2027.
