Syensqo signs carbon fiber composites recycling contract with Fairmat
Belgian-headed Syensqo, a global leader in advanced performance materials, and Fairmat, the French deeptech company that turns carbon fiber into scalable, high-performance recycled materials, have entered into a collaboration agreement.

Under this agreement, Fairmat will recycle Syensqo’s UK carbon fiber prepreg waste, transforming it into valuable resources for the production of new products in the sports, energy, mobility, and electronics markets.
This initiative exemplifies Syensqo’s commitment to sustainability and circular economy principles.
This new collaboration contract adds to our other recycling agreements worldwide and is integral to our comprehensive strategy to advance on composite materials’ circularity. We see in Fairmat a mature partner that offers a reliable and sustainable business model. We look forward to seeing where this new partnership takes us, said Gabriel Molina, Sustainable Development Director at Syensqo Composite Materials.
Syensqo is committed to placing sustainability at the heart of its operations and efforts to supply critical lightweight materials that advance sustainable mobility, develop bio-based and mass-balanced alternatives to traditional resin systems, and champion circularity.
We are proud to partner with Syensqo and help them achieve a sustainable outcome for their UK waste. Thanks to our proprietary and proven technology, we will extract precious value out of their materials to create new engineered materials for high-performance applications, said Benjamin Saada, Founder & CEO, Fairmat.
