Blue Gem Wind opens Erebus procurement

Blue Gem Wind has opened supply-chain engagement for its 100MW Erebus floating offshore wind project in the Celtic Sea.
The company is inviting businesses from across Wales and the UK to engage with its emerging procurement approach.
It added that early engagement will give suppliers greater visibility of potential project requirements, while helping the project team understand the capability, capacity and investment needed to support delivery.
Potential opportunities are expected to span manufacturing and fabrication, ports and logistics, vessels, engineering and construction, electrical infrastructure, technology, and operations and maintenance.
David Groves, Procurement Director at Erebus by Blue Gem Wind, said:
“We want to engage with the supply chain early, openly and meaningfully. The Celtic Sea has the potential to support significant new industrial and supply-chain opportunities, and understanding the market will be an important part of developing our procurement approach. Floating Offshore Wind 2026 is a great opportunity to engage directly with the supply chain. We want businesses to tell us what they can offer, where they see opportunities and what they need from the project to invest, grow and participate.”
The project team will engage with suppliers, ports, industry organisations and other stakeholders to understand existing capability, identify potential supply-chain gaps and explore opportunities for businesses to participate in the project.
Businesses can register their interest and join the Erebus by Blue Gem Wind supply-chain database here: https://www.bluegemwind.com/supply-chain-opportunities/
Blue Gem Wind launched their supply-chain engagement at the Floating Offshore Wind 2026 conference in Aberdeen.
