DG joins high-level meeting to support the accessions of Ethiopia and Uzbekistan
On 24 April, Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala took part in a high-level meeting during the IMF/World Bank spring meetings to support ongoing economic reform efforts in Ethiopia and Uzbekistan. She commended progress in both countries’ WTO accession processes, highlighting recent economic reforms that had enabled them to press ahead towards their goal of finalizing their WTO accession negotiations at the 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14) in March 2026.
